Do This One Thing To Reach Your Goal!

A simple tip to help you improve your life. Doing this one thing will help you achieve your goal!

It is normal to get off track. You are human and life happens. It is normal to second guess yourself, but it doesn’t have to be. Things will happen to demand your attention and you will have to divert your attention to it. There are so many things that absolutely will happen in route to our goals. Keep that in mind but also let’s prepare for ways to deal with it. I would like to help you avoid the pitfall of letting obstacles completely stop your progress or make you feel that you have failed.

There is one simple thing you can implement that will help direct yourself back to the path of seeking your goal. So what if it has been a while since you worked on your goal? You can always start again. This tip can help to renew your focus and allow you the grace to keep moving forward. Whether you are starting up a side business that you always dreamed of pursuing, trying to reach a physical fitness goal, trying to pay down your debts or decluttering your home. Anything that you are trying to achieve. They all have one thing in common. They are all a progressive journey made up of small steps, small changes in your life, small improvements that ultimately add up to big change and inch you closer to your goal.

Besides having patience and self-compassion in recognition of struggles you have faced you can also do this to help you regain focus. It is so simple and anyone can do this. Keep a running list of all the small steps you have already taken. It can include lifestyle changes that you have made, new habits you have already added to your life or small debts you have already paid off. Everyone’s goals and projects are different so everyone’s list will be a little different. The most important thing is to be able to look back at the little things that are already in the rear-view mirror to remember you have come so far already. Then you can turn your attention to this moment. No step is too small. If you gave up soda last year, write it on the list. If you cleaned out one closet last month write it on the list. If you exercise once a week but you use to never exercise at all, you better believe you should put it on your list. It can inspire you to take more small steps. It is so hard to remember where we started sometimes. I urge you to celebrate all the little wins along the way and keep adding them to your list. Post it on your refrigerator, on your bathroom wall, the dashboard of your car or in your journal. Place it where you will see it every day. It is through this recognition of our transformation or accomplishments that we reinforce our progress. Our journeys are unique but our struggles and pitfalls as we walk through life are so remarkably similar.

If you have not already done this, write your list today and keep adding to it! I believe in you and I believe we can all achieve great things if we cheer ourselves on.

Enjoy the journey and always be true to yourself!
